O Christ­ian bro­thers, glo­ri­ous...

...Sleep, thou dust and ash­es, sleep;

Pure im­mor­tal, thou shalt leap...

...The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;

And the Lord shall des­cend,...

To wake the na­tions un­der­ground,...

...Shall see the Judge of souls draw nigh.

Will swell His train of won­drous might....

All the earth around,...

...I’ll be there!

And the dead in Christ shall rise;...

...And I’m on the side of the King.

When from Heav’n the Judge des­cends,...

...Jesus in the clouds ap­pears,

Peals, the loud­est and the last....

...Who do not fear to die.

Its sig­nal well we know;...

...There are mill­ions who per­ish be­cause of de­lay;

Let the beams of His beau­ty dis­pel all the night....
