Beyond the Sea (Mashaw)

Composer: Lincoln Hall

Beyond the sea that rolls between

This world of care and things unseen

There is a land of endless day

Where all our tears are wiped away.

Beyond the sea

the restless rolling sea

I hear my loved ones gently calling me;

I soon shall leave the troubled shores of time

And dwell for aye in that celestial clime.

Beyond the sea lies Heav’n’s fair shore

Where all of sin and earth are o’er;

Where care and toil have passed away;

Where weary feet no more shall stray.

No more shall beat the flood of years

Across these forms so frail and worn;

No more shall roll the sea of tears

Across these hearts by anguish torn.

Beyond the sea there’s rest and peace;

There Jesus bids His children come;

Beyond the sea the tempests cease;

There angels sing a Welcome home.
