God, Keep Me Safe

God

keep me safe; in You I re­fuge take.

You are my Lord; I have no good else­where.

The hearts of all ido­la­ters will ache;

In all their sac­ri­fices I’ll not share.

my in­her­it­ance You have as­signed;

You guard what’s mine and make me feel secure.

Your boun­da­ry lines are plea­sant to my mind;

Your fu­ture bless­ings will bring joy for sure.

Lord

I will praise You for Your coun­sel wise;

Even at night my heart tells me Your way.

I’ll al­ways set You first be­fore my eyes;

You’re right be­side me; I won’t be afraid.

My heart is glad; my tongue re­joic­es e’er;

I know You will not leave me when I die.

The path of life to me You will de­clare;

You’ll fill me with eter­nal joy on high.
