I Intend to Go Through with Him

My heart is so hap­py in Je­sus my Lord

No clouds can my faith in Him dim.

I’ve start­ed to walk in the straight

I’ll count all but loss

for Christ and the cross

I know many others have fallen away

Ensnared by the pitfalls of sin;

The shipwrecks of faith line the shore all along

But I mean to go thro’ with Him.

I find His yoke easy—His burden is light

He brightens the shadows so dim;

I lean on His promise and draw from His grace

I intend to go thro’ with Him.

My friends may forsake me and turn from my path

I’ll seek not their favor to win;

His smile is sufficient and pays me for all
