When men against Thy Gos­pel rise;

And now Thou dost their threatenings see;

Thou canst disperse them with Thine eyes:

Our foes and we are in Thy hand

Who sittest on the righteous throne:

And let Thine awful counsel stand

And let Thy sov­er­eign will be done.
