O the world in sin is dy­ing

loy­al be;

Go you forth to­day in Je­sus’ name;

All the ev­il hosts de­fy­ing

loy­al be

And His peace and li­ber­ty pro­claim!

Loyal be to the Lord

Strive to ban­ish sin and woe;

Loyal be

send the Word

Till the world His love shall know.

Countless la­bor­ers He is need­ing

loy­al be;

For the grain is un­to har­vest white;

Let Him not in vain be plead­ing

loy­al be

Gladly toil for Him un­til the night.

Think how Je­sus died to save you

loy­al be;

How He bids you oth­ers’ bur­dens bear;

Let not world­ly cares en­slave you

loy­al be;

Seek the lost ones

and your bless­ings share.

Whatsoever may op­pose you

loy­al be;

Boldly do your du­ty

nev­er fear;

Looking un­to Him who chose you

loy­al be;

For to bless and keep

He’s ev­er near.
