Merciful God

vouch­safe to me

That last trans­cend­ent vic­to­ry;

That crown of all Thy grac­es give

And bid me in Thine im­age live

’Till wholly sanc­ti­fied I rise

To feast on Christ in para­dise.

Christ is the Tree of Life di­vine;

I live in­deed

if Christ be mine;

And when He doth Him­self be­stow

My God as I am known

I know

And all the life of glo­ry prove

For ev­er filled with heav’n­ly love.
