O Trust Thyself to Jesus

O trust thy­self to Je­sus when thou art full of care

When life with all its prob­lems seems more than you can bear;

Then is the time for tak­ing thy bur­dens all to Him

And

on His Word re­ly­ing

know peace and joy with­in.

He’s able to de­fend thee from ev­ery wea­ry care

From ev­ery weight of sor­row that would thy soul en­snare;

He’s able to de­liv­er

to tear these bands away

And

won­drous light re­veal­ing

change dark­ness in­to day.

O Je­sus

lov­ing Sav­ior

ful­fill this truth in me

And save me from mis­treat­ing the care that comes from Thee;

O lead me on in know­ledge to see Thee as Thou art

And in a high­er glo­ry pos­sess my long­ing heart.
