Oh! Heaven So Bright!

At set of sun when life is o’er

And I on earth no long­er dwell

I shall not wan­der any more

But be with Christ where all is well.

O Heav’n so bright

be­yond life’s shore;

Some glad sweet day

I’m go­ing o’er

To be at rest from sin’s des­pair

And dwell for­ev­er in God’s care!

I won­der

as on faith I lean

If I shall be a wretch un­done

And what eter­ni­ty will mean

When I must stand be­fore God’s Son.

The Gos­pel light has led me through

The mi­ry clay of shame and sin;

I’ll run my race with cour­age new

Until a crown of life I win.
