On That Great Day of Judgment

Composer: Daniel Towner

On that great day of judgment

What will you say?

When all the books are opened

And none can hide away;

When every hidden secret

By the Judge will be made known

And you behold the harvest

Of the seed you here have sown.

Render unto Cæsar

The things that are Cæsar’s

But give unto God His own;

For the great day of judgment

Is coming soon

When every knee shall bow

Before the great white throne.

On that great day of judgment

What will you do?

If Jesus tells the Father

That you He never knew;

And you’re refused a fleeting glimpse

Of heav’nly joy to see

But with the lost are doomed

To spend a long eternity.

On that great day of judgment

No fear I’ll know;

By grace I was delivered

On Calv’ry long ago;

O hasten while there yet is time

God’s promise to prove true

For He has said that His shed blood

Doth still avail for you.
