Pilot Me

On the ocean of life we are sailing

For the Canaan above we are bound;

We are certain the port to be gaining

Since the heavenly Pilot we’ve found.

Pilot me

pilot me;

Take the helm in Thine own hand

Bring my sinking bark to land;

Pilot me

pilot me;

Pilot me.

For He knows where the dangers are lurking

Where the rocks and the hidden reefs lie;

We are safe tho’ the billows are breaking

And the hungry waves dash mountains high.

Soon the haven our bark will be nearing

The Jerusalem golden and fair;

Soon the lights of the city appearing

Soon the home of the ransomed we’ll share.
