Sweet Surprises

Sweet surprises wait the Christian

In the Father’s home on high;

Music

earthly ear hath heard not

Scenes

too bright for mortal eye.

Let us hear the Spirit

whispering

Of the heav’nly joys to come;

Live by faith in Him who saved us

Till we reach that glorious home.

Loftiest flights of human fancy

Cannot grasp a single trace;

Of the Heav’n prevailing glory

Beaming from the Savior’s face.

Brighter than the piercing sun rays

Clearer than the moon’s pure light

Is the glory

grand

eternal

Of that land that knows no night.
