the time is fast ap­proach­ing

When the judg­ment day shall come

When we’ll hear the trum­pet sound­ing;

Will we hear Him say

Come home?

The judg­ment day is draw­ing near

And are we saved from all our sin?

O

will we hear the Mas­ter say

Come

ye bless­èd

en­ter in?

There shall be be­fore Him ga­thered

Every soul from ev­ery land;

Will you be among the right­eous

Or with those at His left hand?

O! how sad ’twill be

my bro­ther

For you at the judg­ment day

When He says

Ye bless­èd

en­ter

But then you are turned away.

We shall all meet at the judg­ment;

All hearts must be free from sin

Or He’ll say

De­part

ye curs­èd

And they can­not en­ter in.
