When We Use Our Talents

O the great­est joy is found along the way

And the heart is hap­py

sing­ing all the day

For the Lord with rich­est bless­ing doth re­pay

When we use our ta­lents for the Mas­ter!

O the joy that serv­ice for the Sav­ior brings

How the heart re­joic­ing at its du­ty sings!

In some oth­er heart the joy-bell sweet­ly rings

When we use our ta­lents for the Mas­ter!

Some may have a voice to speak a cheer­ing word

Let the Gos­pel news o’er all the world be heard

Other souls to bet­ter liv­ing can be stirred

When we use our ta­lents for the Mas­ter!

Some may have a will­ing hand to lend and aid

Helping those who by their bur­dens are dis­mayed

Richly will the lit­tle ef­forts be re­paid

Let us then be up and do­ing all the while
