When the Savior Sends Us

When the Sav­ior sends us

On a mis­sion here be­low

Trusting Him with joy we go;

Tho’ our jour­ney be across

The wild and stor­my sea

He will keep us safe

we know.

We will praise the Lord in glo­ry

Tell the na­tions of His love

Till the sound of sac­red sto­ry

Echoes ’round the throne ab­ove.

Many times we meet with

Trials that seem hard to bear

But the Lord is al­ways fair;

On the dark­est days

when

Black and gloomy seems the way

He is with us ev­ery­where.

So wher­ev­er Christ shall

Send us with a word of cheer

We will go

and nev­er fear;

For the bless­èd Lord has

Promised in His ho­ly Word

That to us He’ll e’er be near.
