Ye sol­diers of the King of kings

Your cap­tain calls to­day;

heed the mes­sage that He brings

The call to arms ob­ey.

Out with the migh­ty sword of God!

Wield it in might

be strong!

The Word of God we’ll spread abroad

And tri­umph ov­er wrong.

The hosts of sin are rag­ing round

The con­flict fierc­er grows;

March on

the Lord in glo­ry crowned

Hath van­quished all His foes.

The vic­to­ry will soon be ours

In Him we ne’er can fail;

O’er death

and hell

and all the pow­ers

Through Christ we shall pre­vail.
