You Alone

Only one thing I ask of the Lord my God

And it’s all that I seek to­day:

That I may dwell in the house of the Lord

To be­hold the beau­ty of the Lord

And to me­di­tate in His courts with praise

All the days of my life.

Lord

I want to dwell in Your pre­sence all my days

And when I die

I want to dwell with You on high;

In my wor­ship may I fo­cus on You alone

Both now and then

for­ev­er­more!

While some may boast in their wis­dom or fame

In strength of might

or of their many rich­es;

Yet there’s one thing I know

and this is my on­ly aim:

To know You

Lord

Your lov­ing­kind­ness

jus­tice

and right­eous­ness

On earth as in Heav­en.
