Happy Is the Man

Happy he who walk­eth ev­er

In the ways of God

our Lord;

Happy he who sin­neth nev­er

’Gainst the teach­ings of His Word;

Whose de­light is Him to serve

Day by day and year by year;

From His pre­cepts ne’er to swerve;

Unto peace shall he be near.

He shall flour­ish like a flow­er

Planted by the wa­ter­side;

God will give him grace and pow­er

In his vir­tue to abide.

By the help of God

most ten­der

Shall he pros­per in his ways;

Virtue shall be his de­fend­er

Blessèd shall be all his days.
